Slowing down for me is something that is difficult since I love to get shit done and move onto the next task/project, but I remind myself that slowing down is actually so beneficial to my overall mental and emotional health, and how important it is to sit and acknowledge my thoughts and give them the space they deserve.

Moving your body in any way is so beneficial in more than one way. Aside from being good for you physically, I love the mental aspect of feeling accomplished while doing something fun, and knowing that I did something nice for myself.

Finding the right therapist is straight up like dating. I’ve heard so many people say that they’ve “tried therapy once” and it didn’t work out so they never tried it again. If you go on a bad date, you’re not going to swear off dating, so the same should be applied to therapy. You just have to keep trying and be patient and know what you want and what you don’t want, and then hopefully you’ll meet the right one.
Damn This Pandemic!
I’m sure being in month nine of a pandemic has left you with at least some cabin fever. I’ve definitely felt it, especially since I lost all my clients at the beginning, I suddenly had a lot of time and very limited funds on my hands. Thankfully, the internet provided new ideas on activities to do at home. When I wasn’t freaking out about finding work, I was able to fill my time with new activities.

Other methods for pain relief that I’ve used also includes drinking any of my favorite herbal non-caffeinated teas (my fave is ginger), and ingesting CBD of some kind. The comfort of ingesting something hot and relaxing my body with CBD puts me in a state of ease and relaxation.
